Got a chance to catch up on Varanam Aayiram (Surya - Gautam combo) at Boston, never mind that the ticket cost more than an Hollywood movie would. No wonder, producers are bent on a worldwide release. Movie was pretty good, except for the end where it got a bit too long, atleast for me. Songs were peppy and Harris Jeyaraj has continued his trend of using the guitar - both bass and acoustic - heavily in this movie as well. The song Nenjukkul Peidhidum has a simple guitar progression and the chords are straightforward. Thought I'd share my rendering here in the C scale.....original song is in A.
